Interface and Gameplay improvements
- newly created units are automatically selected if mothership is selected
- mech placement is easier to collect minerals
- improved selection/deselection of units
- Destroying a mothership will top up your resources
- Each mothership destroyed counts as a win
Player matching improvements
- three rooms – newbie, intermediate, extreme
- only newbies can enter the newbie room
- extreme room gives 2x credits
- a second leaderboard for extreme battles
ARMS item improvements
- lowered cost of items
- items increase stats as well as decrease other stats
- simplified the number of items

Thursday, May 20th, 2010We have listened to our fans and here it is, Armada – Galactic War v1.2
- Offline practice mode so you don’t need wifi or 3G connection to practice / play.
- ARMS balance system. This will make every single match fair. Lets say Player 1 has 10 upgrades and Player 2 has 3 upgrades. Our system will auto balance Player 1 down to the first 3 upgrades to match Player 2.
- Stability update!
- Network connectivity updated to fix connectivity issues some have been having.

Unbeknownst to us, indie developer Pixel Stream has been working on the silver lining to that news for almost 8 months, with the release of their Starcraft-esque real-time strategy game, Armada – Galactic War [AppStore].

Saturday, May 8th, 2010SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Following up with their very first iPhone/iPod Touch game that was featured on the iTunes’s App Store, the developers of Leaf Bound: Mecha Monkey Mayhem have released their very first real-time strategy game for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
Armada: Galactic War is a highly engaging game, allowing the player to take control of one of three races and wage an all out war with up to three other players in a vibrantly detailed 3-D environment.
“After the success of our first game, we were confident in our ability to exceed what we thought our potential was,” said Dang Tran, one of the developers of Pixel Stream LLC. “Instead of taking the logical steps in building another game that’s on the same parallel to Leaf Bound, we wanted to go in a different direction by going all out with creating a game that would be very unique to iTunes’s App Store.”
Armada: Galactic War throws players into intense battles between humans, cyborgs and aliens on many strategically distinct battlefields. With each battle being very fast-paced and action-packed, a player can go through each battle in a matter of minutes and collect credits at the end that can be used to customize their army with upgrades, keeping the player occupied for hours.
“We understand that most iPhone users want to play games that only last for minutes while on the go. However, a single session in a traditional real-time strategy games usually takes at least half an hour to finish. We wanted to create a game that combines the elements of mobile games and the intensity of real-time strategy games,” explains Tony Liu, another Pixel Stream LLC developer. “It was a challenge, but we definitely did and our team is very confident in Armada [the game] based on the feedback we have received,” in reference to many of the beta testers that became addicted themselves.
Zing Multiplayer Network will be the game’s backbone that allows up to four players to go against each other. Its network allows for players to go against others of similar skills and experience. Therefore, each battle will be engaging for everyone, from the novice to the battle-hardened veteran.
Armada: Galactic War is now available in the iTunes’s App Store for the iPhone and iPod Touch. A high resolution version will also be available for the new iPad, taking advantage of its powerful hardware.
